Join Bike Onehunga on a ride from Onehunga Bay to Puketutu Island and return. The ride is a flat peaceful ride, all off road (unless you divert to a local café). There’s plenty of water views and lots of bird life to look at on the way. If you ride the full distance its 28km, but if you want a shorter ride meet up on the route at Ambury Farm, near the coffee caravan or in the carpark off Greenwood Rd. The tracks in Ambury farm and along the Watercare paths are gravel, so not suitable for slick tired road bikes, but anything with a wide tyre and a bit of grip should be fine.

They will tailor the speed to the slowest rider; no one will be left behind. We may split in to a fast and slow group if numbers warrant. I’m picking 2 ½ hours out and back but that will be driven by the speed of the group and number of stops.

Distances:
Onehunga Bay – Puketutu Island– Onehunga Bay 28km
Ambury Farm – Puketutu Island – Ambury Farm 16km
Greenwood Rd – Puketutu Island –Greenwood Rd 10km
Meet at Taumanu Reserve carpark, Onehunga Bay 9.15am for a 9:30am start.
