Onehunga - Past, Present and Future Bike Ride

Date: October 4th, 2020

Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Socially distanced? No

Meet at Onehunga Bay Reserve by the skate ramp to ride via points of interest in Onehunga’s history! This won’t be a long ride (about 8km) and we will go the speed of our slowest rider, so it will be suitable for all ages and abilities with plenty of stops to learn about the history of our fascinating suburb.

This ride is mainly on road, and we will end at the old Carnegie Library, AKA The Good Home, for a drink/coffee/snack. Kids can play on the playground there.

Let us know if you’re interested on Bike Onehunga’s facebook page.

The Cycle Action Network (CAN) will be running a Blindzone Demonstration at the Roskill Cultural Festival. This is a chance for people to experience the road from the point of view of a truck driver. This event is aimed at riders of all ages and all road users to better understand how to share the road.
